Victoria Thomas, Principal and Chief Business Officer of Kellymoss, has been named the recipient of the SRO Motorsports Group’s Jim Cook Award, recognizing her commitment to sportsmanship, community engagement and the relationships that help strengthen the paddock throughout the season.
The award, which was presented to her during the season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, celebrates individuals whose contributions extend beyond on-track competition and make significant promotional contributions to the series. Thomas has exemplified those values, reflecting a commitment to growing the sport, creating opportunities for others and fostering a welcoming environment for all.
This season, Kellymoss fielded six entries total across GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and Pirelli GT4 America, but while the team’s competitive efforts are admirable in their own right, Thomas’ influence extended well beyond the track.
She has been actively involved with several organizations dedicated to making a positive impact through motorsports, including a longstanding relationship with Racing for Children’s, an initiative to give children undergoing cancer treatment the opportunity to experience hot laps. That concept has since grown into a broader awareness and fundraising platform supporting Children’s of Alabama, using the excitement of racing to help make a difference in the lives of young patients and their families.
Kellymoss is also a participant in the Porsche Female Driver Program and the team’s very own Race Forward: Be Your Own Hero initiative, which aims to create meaningful pathways for women in racing, and serves as a source of inspiration and representation for youth to seek opportunities in motorsports.
"Having three incredibly talented women representing half of our GT4 driver lineup was something we were exceptionally proud of," Thomas said. "Not because they are women, but because they earned their place on a highly competitive grid. Representation matters, and when young girls see women like Loni, Ashley, and Erika competing at this level, it changes what they believe is possible for themselves."
Her commitment to outreach is also evident, with partnerships with the Girl Scouts and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Thomas has organized experiences designed to introduce young groups to the wide range of career opportunities available in motorsports. By connecting people with the professions behind the sport, the initiative offered a firsthand look at an industry that encompasses far more than what happens behind the wheel.
"We are incredibly proud of what our team accomplishes on the track, but some of our most meaningful victories will never appear on a timing sheet," Thomas expressed. "They are found in the confidence someone gains, the career someone discovers, or the opportunity someone receives because they became part of this community."
That emphasis on community is equally apparent in the culture Thomas has helped cultivate at Kellymoss.
"We believe the greatest legacy we can leave is a sport that is stronger, more welcoming, and filled with opportunity for those who follow us," Thomas shared. "This recognition means a tremendous amount to Andy, me, and our entire Kellymoss family. It reinforces why we do what we do, and inspires us to continue building something that matters long after the checkered flag falls."
In recognizing Thomas with the Jim Cook Award, the SRO Motorsports Group celebrates an individual whose influence is measured not only through her role in a successful racing organization, but also through her dedication to the people, causes and shared experiences that make the paddock better.
