Justin Rothberg started the No. 29 LATICRETE BMW M4 GT3 from the eighth in class in race one. Rothberg felt the pressure during his stint but made steady progress and defended his position well pulling into pit lane from seventh place. Robby Foley took over with just over 40 minutes to go in the 90-minute contest. The Turner BMW remained under pressure but picked up three positions to finish fourth in Pro-Am.

Robby Foley qualified second in class for race two but quickly moved to the lead in the opening lap. Foley maintained position and passed the car off to Rothberg who had to defend for most of his stint. Defending well, he brought his BMW across the line in second to earn a podium finish to end the weekend.

Justin Rothberg qualified his BMW M4 GT3 in third for Saturday’s race. The opening laps were busy as the top five fought for position as Rothberg settled in to fifth place. Rothberg kept it clean in the mix of veterans and earned his seventh top five finish of the season.

Rothberg started race two from the third row but full course cautions plagued all but three laps of the 40-minute contest. During the limited laps under green, Rothberg did well to maintain fifth position. The race ended under yellow and the No. 29 LATICRETE BMW earned a fourth place finish and valuable championship points.

“I definitely had to work hard this weekend. I was either chasing someone or being chased at all times,” said Rothberg. “In race two for GT World Challenge America, I had Kurtz on my bumper for most of it. He’s a fierce competitor who competes respectfully, so I’m looking forward to more battles with him.

Overall it was a great weekend. The team did a great job getting the car dialed in and Robby did a great job as well.”

The SRO season continues in Alton, Va. July 19-21 at VIRginia International Raceway with both GT World Challenge America and GT America.
