The Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS drivers took to the track one last time this Friday. The Regulator Racing pairing composed of Philip Ellis and Jeff Burton went quickest in the afternoon session, claiming the fastest overall and Pro-Am lap time.
Spencer Pumpelly and Trent Hindman charged ahead aboard their No. 85 RS1 Porsche 992 GT3 R to claim the top time in the Pro class.
Pro Class
Elliott Skeer set the pace early into the session in the Pro Class on board his No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 992 GT3 R, initially holding the fastest overall time before a collection of drivers began to get up to grips with the terrain. Luca Mars kept close to Skeer as well, moving ahead in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports late into the session.
In the end, the top spot was claimed by the No. 85 RS1 Porsche 992 GT3 R of Spencer Pumpelly and Trent Hindman, setting a flying lap time of 2:00.629 to secure the fastest time in the Pro Class in Practice 2.
Pro-Am Class
Philip Ellis and Jeff Burton set a competitive lap time of 2:00.040, topping the Pro-Am Class and setting the fastest overall time in the session. Robby Foley and Miami native Justin Rothberg were not far from them in their No. 29 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3, setting a lap time of 2:00.167.
As the order shuffled throughout the session, Neil Verhagen and Samantha Tan set a lap time of 2:01.363, putting their No. 38 BMW M4 GT3 sixth overall, but third in class. The No. 08 DXDT Racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R of Bryan Sellers and Scott Smithson set the fourth quickest lap time in class, while the No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Colin Braun and George Kurtz rounded off the Top 5.
