Clean Practice Two Settles Sebring for Fanatec GT World Challenge America

Auberlen, Hull Fastest in PRO Class

Practice Two Results

Practice Two stayed green for the hour duration of the final practice for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS at Sebring International Raceway. Notably missing was the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Eric Filgueiras and Stevan McAleer, who suffered a transmission issue in Practice One, which set the car ablaze.

PRO Class
Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull set the pace for Practice Two with a Best Lap of 1:59.967. The second fastest in the class with a 2:000.869 was the No. 45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Madison Snow and Jan Heylen. Seth Lucas and Trenton Estep in the No. 53 MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R held steady as the third quickest with a Best Lap of 2:01.173.

Nearly matching the pace of the MDK Motorsports Porsche were Practice One leaders Ashton Harrison and Mario Farnbacher in the No. 94 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3. They finished the session fourth, turning a lap time of 2:01.175. The Alessandro Balzan and Manny Franco in the No. 21 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 finished fine-tuning their setup and set a lap time of 2:01.447.

PRO-AM Class
The No. 33 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 of Justin Wetherill and Ryan Dalziel may have the home-field advantage they were hoping for as they finished the day atop the time charts, turning a Best Lap of 2:00.537. George Kurtz and Colin Braun were second in Practice Two PRO-AM practice with a lap time of 2:00.697. The third fastest to end the day was Derek DeBoer and Valentin Hasse-Clot in the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 with a 2:00.854.

Practice One leaders Samantha Tan and Neil Verhagen finished Practice Two fourth in class. The No. 38 ST Racing BMW M4 GT3 turned a Best Lap of 2:00.955. Capping off the Top Five was the No. 08 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Scott Smithson and Bryan Sellers. The DXDT Racing team has seen both of their entries in the Top Five of practice thus far at Sebring International Raceway.
