Spinelli Records Fastest Lap for Practice 2

Alton, Virginia - Nestled among the trees and the rolling hills of the VIRginia International Raceway, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS completed the second practice session on a hot Friday afternoon. Loris Spinelli in the #6 US Racetronics Mercedes-AMG GT3 had the fastest lap of the session with a time of 1:43.809. 

Second, in the Pro class was the #3 K-Pax Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 with Misha Goikheberg and Jordan Pepper. Rounding out the top three was the K-Pax Racing teammates #1 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 with co-drivers Michele Beretta and Andrea Calderelli. 

In Pro-Am action, George Kurtz in the #04 CrowdStrike with Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 again led the field with a lap time of 1:44.300. Following in second was the #45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3-R (991.ii) with co-drivers Charlie Luck and Jan Heylen. Rounding out the top three in class was the #13 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3 driven by Justin Wetherill and Ryan Dalziel.

Looking to take the points to lead in class after the races this weekend, true to form, AF Corse #61 Ferrari 488 GT3 took the second practice session over rivals Triarsi Competizione #23 Ferrari 488 GT3 with a lap time of 1:46.406.

GT World Challenge America action will resume with Qualifying 1 at 9:00 AM, Qualifying 2 at 9:20 AM followed by Race 1 at 2:15 PM.
