The GT World Challenge America powered by AWS field concluded the Friday running at Barber Motorsports Park with their first official practice session of the weekend. The field had sixty minutes of running to play with as they soared around the road course and put their setups to the test. It was GMG Racing's Tom Sargent and Kyle Washington who finished the day at the top of the timesheets with their No. 32 Porsche 911 GT3-R (992) EVO, which is sporting a new livery. TR3 Racing's Daniel Morad and Brayton Williams sat just behind in second with the No. 9 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, and just ahead of the No. 12 AF Corse USA Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO of Matias Perez Companc and Frederik Schandorff. Porsche featured prominently in the top five, with the No. 31 Wright Motorsports entry of Dave Musial Jr. and Ryan Yardley going fourth-quickest, with the No. 28 RS1 machine of Jan Heylen and Danny Dyszelski rounding it off.
