GT World Challenge America powered by AWS returns to action at Barber Motorsports Park for Round 6 of the 2026 season, with the championship entering its penultimate event at the UAB Medicine GT World Alabama benefiting Teal Wings of Hope. With just two race weekends remaining on the calendar, the three-hour contest in Alabama carries significant weight for the championship contenders before the series heads to Indianapolis for the season-ending DESDER Indianapolis 8 Hour.
The Global Manufacturer Championship remains tightly contested heading into the final stages of the season. Mercedes-AMG leads Porsche by 52 points, holding 898 points to Porsche's 846. With a maximum of points still available at Barber and the Indy 8 Hour, both manufacturers will be looking to capitalize on every opportunity as their championship battle continues into the closing rounds.
Aston Martin
Rebel Rock Racing returns to the GT World Challenge America grid with its Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO. Robin Liddell and Frank Depew have continued to build their program throughout its first season of competition, and the duo will return to the scenic Alabama circuit looking to add another strong result to their campaign.

BMW
Turner Motorsport heads to Barber carrying the momentum of its recent overall victory at Road America. Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley have also put themselves firmly in the Pro championship conversation, sitting just marginally behind the class lead. Alongside them, Riley Motorsports and Random Vandals Racing return with Pro-Am entries as BMW looks to continue its fight across both classes.

Ferrari
Five Ferrari entries will take on Barber, with the manufacturer looking to rebound from a difficult weekend at Road America. Tony Davis and Scott Andrews will make their second GT World Challenge America start in the No. 04 HP-TECH Motorsport Ferrari, while the AF Corse USA programs return with strong qualifying pace to build upon. The No. 163 entry also welcomes back Oswaldo Negri alongside Jay Schreibman after Negri's absence from the previous two rounds.

McLaren
After scoring a podium at Road Atlanta, Archangel Motorsports’ Todd Coleman and Aaron Telitz will now look to put the No. 69 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO back into the podium fight at Barber, with the penultimate round providing another opportunity to close out the season strongly.

Mercedes-AMG
Mercedes-AMG arrives at Barber leading the Global Manufacturer Championship, with its North American three-car lineup once again featuring entries from TR3 Racing and JMF Motorsports. TR3 Racing broke through for its first Pro-Am victory of the season at Road America, while JMF Motorsports added another podium with its Pro entry. The manufacturer will now look to maintain its advantage in the championship with only Barber and the Indy 8 Hour remaining on the American side.

Porsche
Porsche brings one of the largest contingents to Barber, with eight entries spread across the Pro and Pro-Am classes. Wright Motorsports enters the weekend with Dave Musial Jr. and Ryan Yardley leading the Pro-Am championship after their podium performance at Road America. RS1 will also aim to carry the momentum from its podium result with new driver pairing Danny Dyszelski and Jan Heylen, while the remainder of the Porsche field looks to contribute valuable points to the manufacturer's championship pursuit.
