GT Sports Club Racers Drop Fast Laps as Round 6 Qualifier Finishes

Thermal, Calif. - The new GT Sports Club series competitors have run their qualifying lap sessions one last time and are now primed for the last run at the podium for the final round of competition.

At the pole position for the GT3 class is youngster Steven Aghakhani driving the #24 US RaceTronics / O'Gara Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3. His 1:58.905-second lap time ensured P1 for his final race start of the interim season.

In the new GT2 class, Dmitri Novikov took his #64 Rearden Racing Audi R8 LMS GT2 around the 2.91-mile circuit in 2:01.322-seconds to secure the best-in-class positioning for his final outing this weekend.

Finally in GT Cup class, patriarch Jim Slavik drove his #58 Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup car to the tune of 2:06.270-seconds for the pole-position over his two sons, Evan and Brennan, who qualified into P2 and P3 respectively.

GT Sports Club competitors give it a final go on-track when the green flag drops at 1:00 pm.
