New and Returning Entries Bolster GT World Challenge America Grid at Road America

Only three races remain in the 2026 season, and the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS field is ready to hit the ground running for Round 5 for their return following the summer break. After an action-packed opening stretch spanning across California, Texas, Florida, and Georgia, the championship heads to one of North America's most iconic road courses in the heart of Wisconsin for another pivotal chapter in the season.

Road America presents a unique challenge for the GT3 field. With championship battles tightening and several new entries, including HP-TECH and Scuderia Corsa, and returning contenders joining the grid, teams will be eager to get up to speed quickly as the season resumes and the fight for championship titles enters its second half.

In the Global Manufacturer Championship standings, Mercedes-AMG has held on to the lead over Porsche, with the two manufacturers separated by 29 points heading into Road America. Mercedes-AMG currently sits at 766 points, while Porsche follows with 737, setting the stage for another closely contested battle between the two German marques.

Aston Martin 

Rebel Rock Racing returns to Road America with Robin Liddell and Frank Depew continuing their GT World Challenge America campaign in the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO. Since making their series debut earlier this season, the duo has continued to gain experience in one of North America's most competitive GT3 fields and will look to make further progress at Road America.

BMW

BMW arrives at Road America with big goals in mind following Turner Motorsport's breakthrough overall victory at Sebring. However, Rothberg and Foley were met with misfortunes at Road Atlanta and will be looking to bounce back. Riley Motorsports and Random Vandals Racing round out the BMW contingent as the manufacturer looks to continue its strong form.

Ferrari 

Ferrari heads to Road America with a growing presence across all three classes, including several notable changes to its lineup. The No. 04 HP-TECH Motorsport Ferrari is a brand-new addition to the grid, with Tony Davis stepping up from his GT America duties to join Scott Andrews in the Pro-Am field. The No. 12 AF Corse USA entry also welcomes a new driver, with Miguel Molina joining Matías Pérez Companc in place of Frederik Schandorff. Triarsi Competizione returns to competition after missing the previous round, and Scuderia Corsa adds another new entry with Mitchell Green and Jon Morley joining the Am class.

Ford 

Dollahite Racing returns to Road America looking to recover from a difficult outing earlier this summer, with an issue causing their Road Atlanta effort to be cut short. The duo has consistently shown front-running pace and will be searching for that elusive first victory after they have been knocking on the door for the past few rounds.

Lamborghini 

Partial-season entry Chicago Performance and Tuning Co. returns to the GT World Challenge America grid at Road America after an absence since the opening round at Sonoma. The Wisconsin event provides a fitting home race return for the team, with Nicolai Elghanayan and Mads Siljehaug back behind the wheel of the No. 64 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

McLaren

Archangel Motorsports heads to Road America with momentum on their side after notching a podium finish last time out at Road Atlanta. The result was a long time coming, and now that Todd Coleman and Aaron Telitz have shown what they can do, they are determined to make more appearances in the top 3 in the remaining rounds.

Mercedes-AMG

Following a brilliant outing at Road Atlanta, Road America will also see the return of Mercedes-AMG factory driver Philip Ellis, who rejoins Jason Daskalos in the No. 27 JMF Motorsports entry after the pair found success together and claimed an overall victory. With the manufacturer leading the Global Manufacturer Championship, all three Mercedes-AMG entries will be ones to watch.

Porsche

Porsche returns with the largest manufacturer contingent on the Road America grid, bringing eight entries across the Pro and Pro-Am categories. GMG Racing's Kyle Washington and Tom Sargent arrive as the championship leaders. Meanwhile, RS1 brings a new driver into the fold as Danny Dyszelski is set to pair up with Jan Heylen. With Porsche trailing Mercedes-AMG by just 29 points in the Global Manufacturer Championship, every result will carry significant weight as the season resumes.
