Everyone is looking forward to getting back on track at the end of the summer break, and this is especially true for the entirety of the Kellymoss team. Based out of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, the return of their home race will taste extra sweet for many reasons.
What started as a small Porsche-focused operation has since grown into one of the premier customer racing organizations in North America, and the winningest team in Porsche racing history. That level of success did not happen overnight, and instead came from building and shaping the company based on a philosophy that always focused on putting people and community first.
For Victoria Thomas, co-owner and Chief Business Officer, the vision was always clear. Rather than expanding across multiple manufacturers, Kellymoss committed itself to becoming the foremost authority on one.
"We chose to go deep, not wide," she said. "Our focus is Porsche. Period."
Every investment, from engineering and fabrication to race operations, driver development, and custom vehicle builds, was centered on Porsche from the beginning. This commitment to consistency then enabled them to pour more attention into assembling the best team they could.
"Success in motorsports is never about one individual,” Thomas explained. “It comes from bringing together exceptional engineers, technicians, strategists, fabricators and support staff who are relentless in their pursuit of improvement."
Today, Kellymoss campaigns roughly 30 full-season entries across North American racing in various series, providing an immense volume of data across multiple Porsche platforms. But Thomas is quick to point out that information alone doesn't produce victories.
“We see more, we compare more, and we investigate at a very deep level,” she revealed. “But having data is one thing, doing the work is another. You have to turn data into insight, and insight into speed."
That mindset has helped Kellymoss evolve into a comprehensive Porsche performance organization while remaining rooted in the same ideology that launched the company more than three decades ago. The team’s reputation has been forged alongside the manufacturer itself, with years of success built upon a relationship Thomas describes as one of mutual trust, elevated standards, and commitment to excellence.

Having competed with multiple generations of Porsche race cars while helping drivers progress through Porsche's customer racing ladder, Kellymoss has become one of the manufacturer's flagship teams in North America.
Thomas credits Porsche with creating one of the strongest customer racing ecosystems in motorsport, citing the quality of the cars, technical support, parts infrastructure and driver development pathway available to teams and customers.
That relationship, however, extends beyond competition, a fact that Thomas is very conscious of and keeps top of mind.
"Every time we compete, work with a customer, host a partner or welcome a fan, we represent the Porsche brand," she said. "We take that responsibility very seriously."
Kellymoss fields multiple Porsche entries across both GT World Challenge America and GT4 America competition, each with unique drivers, customer expectations and competitive goals. Keeping all of those programs operating at a championship level comes down to ensuring that preparation and organization are top priorities.
Thomas’ approach of strong leadership, detailed planning and empowering talented engineers and crew members allow the organization to maintain consistency across every program. Furthermore, operating numerous cars also creates a competitive advantage.
"We benefit from the scale of our operation,” she said. “Multiple cars allow us to gather more data, accelerate learning and continuously improve while ensuring every customer receives the same level of commitment and professionalism. The challenge is to make certain that scale creates an advantage without ever compromising attention to detail.”

Among all the races on the calendar, none carries greater significance for Kellymoss than Road America, the National Park of Speed.
"Road America is deeply personal to Kellymoss," Thomas stated. "It is our home track and has been part of the company's history for decades. Beyond the competition, it is one of the best opportunities each year for our entire organization to experience our why. Bringing members of our broader team to Road America allows them to experience that connection firsthand and see the impact of the work they contribute every day. That is incredibly special and important to us.”
Their time at the track has also become known for a tradition that reflects Kellymoss' culture just as much as its competitive record. Each year, Thomas and her husband, Kellymoss co-owner Andy Kilcoyne, open their nearby home to welcome the entire paddock.
"We believe motorsports is both highly competitive and deeply collaborative," she emphasized. "Building stronger relationships away from the race track creates greater cooperation throughout the paddock, and that ultimately supports stronger competition on track. Professionally, Road America is one of the most important weekends of our season. Personally, it is an opportunity to celebrate the people, relationships, and culture that make our sport so special."
And then there's the ice cream. Andy purchased a full-service ice cream station, complete with roughly 25 toppings, that became a gathering place for competitors, crews and guests alike.
"It's a simple gesture," Thomas said with a smile, "but it's a really fun way to bring people together."
With the championship entering its second half, Road America represents an important opportunity to build momentum for Kellymoss' championship campaigns. Their goals remain consistent week in and week out: compete for wins, championships, and deliver exceptional results for every customer.
Still, she cautions against allowing emotion and external factors to dictate execution and maintains that discipline is key.
"The emotion of a home event cannot change the way we approach the race," she insisted. "We still have to execute the fundamentals, make intelligent decisions and put each car in the best possible position to succeed."
As Chief Business Officer, Thomas has also witnessed the rapid evolution of customer racing, with modern customers expecting more than engineering excellence and race results. They seek driver coaching, hospitality, communication, compelling content and meaningful value for their investment.
"GT racing has become increasingly competitive, technical and commercially sophisticated," she detailed. "The race car remains at the center of everything we do, but today's racing organizations must create value well beyond the checkered flag."

That philosophy is perhaps most evident during the team's home weekend. Road America will allow partners to witness firsthand the teamwork, technology and preparation required to compete at the highest level while also becoming immersed in the Kellymoss community.
"The most valuable partnerships are not transactional," Thomas observed. "They are integrated into the broader Kellymoss community and create meaningful value for both organizations."
For newcomers attending SRO America at Road America, Thomas hopes Kellymoss offers something that extends well beyond the racing itself and creates a deeper appreciation for the people behind the race cars. The open paddock environment allows fans and partners to experience professional motorsports up close in a way few series can match.

"If they spend time with Kellymoss, I hope they leave understanding that motorsports is about much more than racing," she concluded. "It is about innovation, teamwork, relationships and creating opportunities for people to become part of an extraordinary community. Whether someone arrives as a lifelong fan or is attending their first race, we want them to leave excited to come back."
