Turner Motorsports Finishes Fourth at Road Atlanta

Turner Motorsport’s Robby Foley and Justin Rothberg recorded another fourth-place finish in Round 4 of GT World Challenge America in SRO’s return to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Rothberg started the No. 29 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from third on the grid. Following an early pit stop to switch from rain tires to slicks, he navigated lapped traffic while steadily closing the  gap for position. Foley took over at the halfway mark, but a broken fuel line 30 minutes into his stint brought the Turner BMW back to the paddock. The whole Turner crew battled the heat and humidity all weekend, and worked quickly to repair the No. 29 and send Foley back out to finish in fourth.

The GT World Challenge America season heads into summer break and will resume August 28-30 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin at Road America.

Robby Foley, Driver of the No. 29 BMW M4 GT3 EVO

“It was an unfortunate end to a super strong weekend. We had a really fast LATICRETE BMW, and the Turner guys and girls did a great job giving us a hot rod. We showed that in qualifying, and we were probably the quickest car out there all weekend, which was nice. Unfortunately, we had a fuel system issue, which put us a bunch of laps down. But on a positive note, we have a fast car, so we'll take that to Road America."

Will Turner, Team Owner

"We had a great car this weekend. The team put in so much effort into everything and fought the heat and the humidity. Unfortunately, a small part hurt our changes to do well, but we'll regroup and be back in action at Road America."
