Wright Motorsports is proud to unveil an expanded three-car program for 2026 in SRO America, featuring two full-season Pro-Am entries in GT World Challenge America and one entry in GT America. All three programs will campaign the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) as the team embarks on an ambitious new chapter in GT3 competition.
Dave Musial Jr. will team up with Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver Ryan Yardley in the Pro-Am category, equipped with the No. 31 Porsche 911 GT3 R for the full seven-round GT World Challenge America season. The pairing is building on a successful partnership after co-driving together in Porsche Endurance Challenge North America competition the year prior, in which they secured a stellar victory at Road Atlanta.
For Musial Jr., the Pro-Am program marks another important step forward in his sports car racing career as he transitions into a full-season GT3 campaign in one of North America’s premier championships.
Yardley, a native of New Zealand, enters 2026 as the reigning Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion. In 2025, he earned three victories and 14 podium finishes across 16 races, securing the championship with a 19-point margin. Now stepping into a full-season GT3 campaign with Wright Motorsports, Yardley continues his progression within the Porsche Motorsport development ladder.
Dave Musial will contest the GT America championship in the SRO3 class aboard the No. 72 Porsche 911 GT3 R. The single-driver sprint format presents a new challenge as Musial prepares to make his GT America debut in 2026, having previously competed and claimed titles in single-make championship series.
As previously announced, joining Wright Motorsports for her first full-season GT3 campaign is Therese Lahlouh, who will pilot the No. 242 Porsche 911 GT3 R in GT World Challenge America in the Pro-Am class. Joining her is longtime coach and co-driver Thomas Merrill.
Merrill brings extensive experience to the lineup and is no stranger to the SRO America paddock, having previously competed in GT4 America and contested the Indianapolis 8 Hour. His accomplishments include a Trans Am TA2 Championship, an Asian Le Mans Series Championship, and a class victory at the 2023 Rolex 24 At Daytona. His longstanding working relationship with Lahlouh and familiarity with the Porsche platform provide valuable continuity for the No. 242 entry.
The 2026 SRO America season spans across seven venues, beginning March 27th to 29th at Sonoma Raceway in California. The calendar will then make stops at Circuit of The Americas, Sebring International Raceway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Road America, and Barber Motorsports Park. The season finale eight-hour endurance showcase will take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where both GT World Challenge America entries will be joined by a third driver, to be announced at a later date.
Driver quotes:
Dave Musial Jr.: “I’m extremely excited to be driving with Ryan Yardley as my co-driver and to be joining Wright Motorsports for GT World Challenge America powered by AWS. We wanted to position ourselves with the very best, and we truly believe Wright is second to none. Their experience with the Porsche 911 GT3 R is unmatched, and what really stood out is that Adam Adelson isn’t just the team owner—he’s a hardcore racer like we are. He understands what it takes to win and how much of a team effort it is. After a lot of conversations with Adam and Bob, it was clear we share the same passion, the same drive, and the same goal: to be number one. We’re fired up for 2026 and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”
Ryan Yardley: “I’m super excited to be joining Wright Motorsports for the 2026 GT World Challenge America championship. It’s awesome to be continuing my relationship with Dave Musial Jr. and to be teaming up once again. I’m really looking forward to the step up from Carrera Cup into GT3 competition. Sonoma can't come soon enough!”
Dave Musial: “For 2026, my son and I wanted to put ourselves in the best possible position to contend for an SRO championship, and we knew that takes a total team effort. We evaluated a number of teams and completed testing, and we were honestly blown away by Wright Motorsports. The professionalism, preparation, and execution are next level. We’re truly excited and proud to be joining the Wright Motorsports program for 2026, and my goal is to match their standard as a driver the same way they deliver it as a team. We can’t wait to get the season started.”
Therese Lahlouh: “This will be my second year working with Thomas. I’m a developing driver, and it’s so important to have the right mentors. He’s really helped me to level up my driving and my mental game, and I feel like I’m in great hands with both Thomas and Wright Motorsports. He has proven again and again that he’s a smart, capable racer, but he’s also one of the best coaches available in motorsports today. He approaches coaching and co-driving with a comprehensive macro view that has accelerated my progress and given me the tools needed to succeed. Combined with Wright’s excellence and commitment to the program, I feel like I’ve found the right home and partners to continue my development.”
Thomas Merrill: “This will be a fun year with Therese and Wright Motorsports. Therese has worked really hard and come a long way in the past couple seasons to prepare for this next step in her career path. It’ll be a lot of fun to watch her continued growth in GT3 machinery. Adam, Bobby, and everyone at Wright are the cream of the crop and have been awesome to work with so far. Their knowledge of the Porsche GT3R Evo from their IMSA program will help us get up to speed quickly. Can’t wait for Sonoma!”
