Serra/Vilander Top Charts Again at Watkins Glen

WATKINS GLEN, NY - As they did earlier in the day in the first Blancpain GT World Challenge America practice, Ferrari teammates Daniel Serra and Toni Vilander posted the fastest time in the second and final practice session at Watkins Glen International.

Early in the 60-minute practice, Pro division driver Serra, behind the wheel of the #61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 488 GT3 went to the top of the charts posting a 1:44.054. K-PAX Racing's Andy Soucek in the #9 Bentley Continental GT3 slotted into second with a 1:44.131.

In the Am division, One11 Competition driver Anthony Lazzaro's 1:45.486 in the #19 Ferrari 488 GT3 was good for third overall and first in the Am division. With a 1:45.657, Anthony Imperato driving the #91 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R slotted into fifth overall and first in the Pro/Am class.

Serra then improved on his top time with a 1:43.676, while Dane Cameron in the #43 RealTime Racing Acura NSX moved into third overall and first in the Pro/Am division with a 1:44.623. A few laps later Cameron shaved his third fastest time to a 1:44.553.

Through driver changes the top times did not change with Serra's time (paired with Vilander) holding for the top spot, Soucek (teammate Alvaro Parente) in second on the charts and Cameron (Mike Hedlund) securing third. Cameron's time was the quickest in the Pro/Am division. Lazzaro's time (teamed with Christopher Cagnazzi) held for the session and was the quickest in the Am division, sixth overall on the charts.
