We’re counting down the days until the opening ceremony for the FIA Motorsport Games will take place at the stunning City of Arts & Sciences in Valencia, Spain.
Staged on Wednesday, 23 October 2024, the opening ceremony promises to be a spectacular start to the third edition of the multidisciplinary motorsport event that unites National Sporting Authorities representing nations from across the globe in competition to win gold, silver, and bronze medals.
The opening ceremony will mark the start of four days of intense competition across 26 categories of motorsport, which will play out at venues across the province of Valencia - a region rich in cultural arts and history, with stunning natural landscapes including 100-kilometres of coastline.
Here, we take a first look at some of the key venues for the FIA Motorsport Games 2024 in Spain.
City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia
The City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) will be the spectacular venue for not only the opening ceremony of the FIA Motorsport Games 2024 but also for both the Esports GT and the Esports F4 categories.
The stunning architectural complex has become one of the city's most iconic landmarks and is renowned as one of the “12 treasures of Spain.”
Designed by the renowned Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, the City of Arts and Sciences is a futuristic ensemble of buildings dedicated to science, art, and culture.
The project began construction in July 1996 and was officially opened on 16 April 1998 with the opening of L'Hemisfèric - one of six major buildings in the complex.
The City of Arts and Sciences is a major tourist attraction and a hub for education, research, and cultural events in Valencia.
Circuit Ricardo Tormo
Circuit Ricardo Tormo will form the hub of the FIA Motorsport Games 2024. Not only will it be home to all Circuit and Electric Street competitions in October, but the venue will also host the podium where winners from all 26 categories will be awarded the gold, silver, or bronze medal for their nation.
Fans can watch all the action from Touring Cars, GT racing, to Formula 4 and Drifting, Auto Slalom, and Karting Slalom. Special Rally stages will also play out across bespoke layouts of the versatile Spanish track, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The Fan Village and ASN Villages will be based within the venue, offering a huge range of entertainment and hospitality, as well as direct access to teams, competitors, and cars.

The host circuit for the 2024 Games was built by the Government of Valencia in 1999 to become the hub of the region’s motorsport industry.
Named in honour of the late Ricardo Tormo, the legendary double 50cc Motorcycle World Champion, the circuit has become a national training centre to hone young Spanish talent on both two and four wheels.
The venue has hosted a round of the MotoGP since opening and has served as a pre-season testing venue for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship since 2017. It also hosted the Valencia E-Prix in 2021, and gained homologation to full FIA Grade 1 status the same year.
Billed ‘the circuit within a stadium,’ the venue can seat a staggering 90,000 spectators while offering unrivalled views across much of the 4km track. The layout features five right-hand turns, eight left turns, and an 870m main straight, which lends itself to incredibly close-fought competition.
Ideally located at Cheste, just 15 minutes from Valencia airport and 20 minutes from Valencia City to the West, the circuit enjoys excellent international and national transport links by rail, road, and air.
