SRO America and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show are gearing up for an action-packed event as they team up to host the first-ever PRI Show Esports Arena powered by SRO held at the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana from December 7th – 9th, 2023.
The three-day event will have no shortage of excitement as Sim Pro’s will put it into high gear and battle it out in the opening race on Thursday afternoon, including many of SRO’s very own drivers. Friday’s festivities will feature a Pro Playoff, with a mix of real-life drivers, Sim Pro’s, and influencers facing off against each other. Saturday will also include open rig sessions to conclude the event.
The competitors will race on Assetto Corsa Competizione at Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 2.439 miles, 14-turn Road Course layout. Drivers will utilize Fanatec cockpits, bases, wheels and pedals powered by ASUS machines, with open setup.
The event will feature a plethora of talent from both the sim-racing and real racing world, including highly experienced drivers showing off their skills on a global stage, as series Champions, proven race winners and podium sitters will be given the spotlight to showcase their strengths and competitive spirit.
The Sim Pros will be the first ones to set the scene on Thursday, with numerous renowned ESports drivers with impressive racing resumes adding their names to the attendance list. SRO America ESports’ very own Jyeed Hutchinson will be taking the stage in the No. 63 Lamborghini Esports Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 22, along with ST Racing Esports teammates Christopher Severt and Cameron Martineau in a pair of BMW M4 GT3 machines. Pierre-Olivier Cloutier will be completing the line-up for BMW, while Jonathan Clifford will be commanding the remaining Lamborghini in the field with Alpha SimSport.
It’s a true manufacturer medley, with both McLaren and Porsche represented by two entries apiece, featuring Annemarie D’Alessandro and Aloo Gobi in a McLaren 720S GT3, while Elmer Ardon and Sam Nelson will be commanding a Porsche 911 GT3 R 922. The remaining manufacturers each have one entry each, with Devin Anderson driving an Acura NSX GT3 Evo 22 with TechSport Racing, Jordan Johnson in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, Max Baughman in the Ferrari 296 GT3, and Andrew Berg in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
Meanwhile, more action will follow suit as the Pro Playoffs take charge of the spotlight on Friday. Michael Hickman and Kyle Loh will be teaming up with Dstrict, fielding a Bentley Continental GT3 and an Acura NSX GT3 Evo 22. The second Bentley in the field will be driven by Mike Ogren, while Celso Neto will be behind the wheel of the other Acura. Porsche and Lamborghini will also have two entries each, with Sam Nelson returning to represent the German outfit, accompanied by Chris Walsh, while Matt Brewer and Ethan Oring will be in the driver’s seat for Lamborghini.
As for the remaining challengers, Kevin Boehm will be racing in the Crowdstrike Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, Phil Bouchard will be commanding the Advanced Motorsports Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, and Kasey Hull will be competing in the BMW M4 GT3. The lineup will be completed by Jacob Little in the Aston Martin AMR V8 Vantage, Jack Null in the ECS Tuning McLaren 720S GT3, and Eli Singh in the Ferrari 296 GT3.
Running from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, the event will also incorporate daily 60 minute panels to grant audiences with the opportunity to hear from the racing stars themselves.
Those who can’t make it on-site can tune in live on the SRO Motorsports Twitch channel, as the event will be broadcast live with SRO: PIT PASS host Ash VanDelay and SRO commentator DJ Clark.
