Welcome to Indianapolis: GT Parade and Street Party Preface Finale

SRO Motorsports America brings the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS to the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway Oct. 4-8 with a fanfare set to take over the town of Speedway before setting in on Indianapolis.

The Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS is joined by the GT America powered by AWS, Pirelli GT4 America, TC America powered by Skip Barber and the Toyota GR Cup North America. All the series will parade from the hallowed ground of IMS to Main Street Speedway on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. for the GT Welcome Parade. The series will then transform Main Street into a top-notch car show full of GT2, GT3, GT4 and Touring Car race cars. Live music accompanies the street fair, along with vendors bringing fun giveaways and fan gear for purchase.

Inside IMS, a wide array of displays welcome fans and participants. Get a peek at the new lineups from the top manufacturers. The new Corvette Z06 GT3.R is joined by a Ford Performance display alongside Toyota, Nissan and Honda Performance Development exhibits. Fan gear is for purchase at the SRO America merchandise store, which is surrounded by partners Rowe, EBOOST and VP Performance handing out giveaways.

Get a taste of Fall by visiting Stuckey Farm’s Pumpkin Patch. The farm will have a pumpkin patch on-site with pumpkins and mums for purchase. Once you pick, paint! Stuckey Farms will host a pumpkin painting table and have a number of games to enjoy inside their IMS patch.

The Fanatec GT World Challenge America series caps off its season with the Indianapolis 8-Hour powered by AWS endurance event. The cars race into the night with double championship points on the line. The series is joined on track by the Intercontinental GT Challenge series for its North American stop. At the end of the night, a spectacle of fireworks prefaces podium ceremonies for the IGTC PRO, Fanatec GT World Challenge America PRO and combined PRO-AM Classes.

The GT America powered by AWS, Pirelli GT4 America, TC America powered by Skip Barber and the Toyota GR Cup North America battle out their championships through Sunday. Each series has a feature race Friday, Saturday and Sunday to close out the 2023 calendar. With multiple championships undecided, anything can happen. A private prize-giving ceremony will bring the Indianapolis weekend and 2023 race season to a close.
