In the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS qualifying rendition, both drivers set times for starting position for Race One and Race Two. Race One takes place later today at 3:10 p.m. ET with Driver One taking starting duties.

A Red Flag cut the first session three minutes short with a red flag for the off-track excursion of the No. 08 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3. Driver Scott Smithson, who was on track to start second in Race One, continued to pit lane but received a penalty for causing a red flag resulting in a loss of his fast lap time. Driver Two, Race Two qualifying went on without a hitch, giving teams and drivers the full 15-minute session under green. 

PRO Class
For today’s Race One Kenton Koch in the No. 9 TR3 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 won the ROWE Pole Award taking, setting the pace for his class and overall. The best lap time was his final lap of the session, a 1:44.969. Chandler Hull in the No. 94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT3 will start side by side with Koch for Race One. Seth Lucas in the No. 58 MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R rounded out the top three for Driver One qualifying.

Mario Farnbacher in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX made quick work of taking pole position for Race Two laying down a lap time of 1:43.646 early in the session. He was followed closely by Bill Auberlen in the No. 94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT3 who will start second. Ferrari legend Alessandro Balzan took the No. 21 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 into a third-place starting position. 

PRO-AM Class
Taking top honors in the class is George Kurtz in the No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3. His lap time of 1:44.986 put him second overall and first in the PRO-AM Class. Adam Adelson in the No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R starts Race One second as he continues to be a name that is always out front. New to the PRO-AM Class, Anthony Bartone in his No. 43 RealTime Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 will start the race third in Race One. 

The ROWE Pole Award for Race Two went to Robby Foley in the No. 096 Turner Motorsports BMW M4 GT3 who joins for the first race this season. The No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 took a short spin and hard hit during the session but that didn’t stop Colin Braun from putting the car in position to start from Row One in the PRO-AM Class for Race Two. He rolls off the line second while Neil Verhagen makes his debut with ST Racing in the No. 38 ST Racing BMW M4 GT3 from the third position on grid.
