Practice One Results

When the color of the rolling hills at VIRginia International Raceway matches the flag, it’s a good day. The Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS executed the entirety of Practice One under green conditions. The field of 17 is represented by six manufacturers on track this weekend with the PRO Class growing to six entries and the AM Class entry of Anthony Bartone, now joined by Adam Christodoulou, joins the PRO-AM Class.

PRO Class
Ashton Harrison and Mario Farnbacher in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 were the fastest in the PRO Class, with a best lap of 1:44.961. This time placed them ninth fastest overall. Daniel Morad and Kenton Koch in the No. 9 TR3 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 comfortably fit into the PRO Class with a 1:45.088 lap time. Manny Franco And Alessandro Balzan in the No. 21 Conquest Racing rejoined the series after missing Race Two at Circuit Of The Americas. They rounded out the top three in Practice One with a lap time of 1:45.527. 

PRO-AM Class
Elliott Skeet and Adam Adelson’s No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R entry took top honors overall and were the fastest of the PRO-AM Class. They ran a 1:44.261 lap time with Skeer. Jeff Burton and Corey Lewis in the No. 91 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 entry weren’t far behind on the timesheets with a 1:44.280. Vincent Barletta and Robby Foley with the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 didn’t need much time to familiarize themselves with the series as they were third fastest overall and in the class. Barletta and Foley earned a best lap of 1:44.524.
