  • Results

The day dwindled and the pressure mounted for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competitors. Practice Two exuded a sense of haste as competitors breached track limits and found areas of improvement. The 17-car field took the 60-minute session and made the most of their final practice at Circuit Of The Americas ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying and race sessions.

PRO Class
From last to first in class, the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3 R was the fastest car in the PRO Class. Steven McAleer and Eric Filgueiras found the time in their Porsche to be fourth fastest overall in Practice Two. The No. 53 MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Seth Lucas and Trenton Estep bettered themselves by one position jumping from third to second fastest in Practice Two with a 2:05629 lap time. Swapping places with MDK Motorsports from Practice One and the third quickest in Practice Two was the No. 21 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 of Alessandro Balzan and Manny Franco.

Fourth in the PRO Class was the No. 94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT3 of Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull. The duo was fourth in Practice One as well. In fifth was the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 of Ashton Harrison and Mario Farnbacher. The duo turned a best lap of 2:06.478.

PRO-AM Class
The Pro-Am Class led the way thanks to the likes of Justin Wetherill and Ryan Dalziel in the No. 33 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 who set a best lap time of 2:04.742. The No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 stayed near the top of the charts. Colin Braun and George Kurtz registered a 2:05.017 to claim second overall and in the PRO-AM Class. Once again, the No. 45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R followed the Mercedes on the timing board with a 2:05.381.

The fifth fastest overall and fourth quickest in class was the No. 16 ACI Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R. Drivers Pedro Torres and Spencer Pumpelly have the speed, they’ll need to find the luck to capitalize at COTA. Finishing Practice Two in fifth was the No. 007 TRG Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3. The team was highly competitive at NOLA Motorsports Park, the same mindset shown today at COTA.

AM Class
Anthony Bartone and Andy Pilgrim of No. 43 RealTime Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 continue designing Bartone’s future in the Am Class. They turned a 2:08.283 as hotter track temperatures slowed lap times.
