Practice Two took place in the sweltering New Orleans heat for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS. The hour-long session ran uninterrupted, with drivers and teams able to maximize their track time before finalizing their setups ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying session.
PRO CLASS
Ashton Harrison and Mario Farnbacher, the leaders in the morning session, picked up right where they left off and quickly put themselves back into the top spot on the leaderboard in the early stages of the practice session in the Pro Class. The No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 was closely followed by the No. 28 RS1 Porsche GT3 R 992 of Eric Filgueiras Stevan McAleer.
The No. 53 MDK Motorsports Porsche GT3 R 992 of Trenton Estep and Seth Lucas rounded off the top three in the class, followed by the No. 94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT3 of Chandler Hull and Bill Auberlen. The final spot in the top five was scooped up by Manny Franco and Alessandro Balzan in the No. 21 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3.
PRO-AM CLASS
The No. 45 Wright Motorsports Porsche GT3 R 992 co-driven by Charlie Luck and Belgian pro-driver Jan Heylen was quick to move into the top spot in the session, taking advantage of the lengthy, uninterrupted session. Not only did they set the fastest time in the Pro-Am class, but they also recorded the quickest time overall with 1:34.398.
Their Wright Motorsports counterparts followed in second for the majority of the session in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3-R (991.ii), but Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer were eventually bumped down to third. Canadian driver Daniel Morad and Ziad Ghandour took over the second spot in the No. 9 TR3 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.
ST Racing finished the session in fourth place, with Samantha Tan and John Edwards co-driving the BMW M4 GT3. Justin Wetherill and Ryan Dalziel rounded out the top five in the class in the No. 33 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3.

Saturday, April 29 begins with qualifying taking place at 9:00 AM CT. Race One will commence at 3:10 PM CT, followed by Race Two on Sunday, April 30 at 1:45 PM CT to close out the weekend.
