Austin, TX – SRO Motorsports America announced today a shift in the 2023 calendar for its second visit to the NOLA Motorsports Park circuit just outside of New Orleans. The championships will now make its trip down South on April 28th - 30th, 2023.
In an effort to avoid a date clash with SRO’s Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli and citing concerns regarding the manufacturer's new car delivery dates, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season now kicks off at Sonoma Raceway on March 30th - April 2nd. This also allows additional time for teams to receive and test before the season start.
NOLA Motorsports Park, which was added as a replacement venue this past season, now serves as the second stop of SRO’s headliner events in late April. Its fast, technical circuit coupled with the close proximity to downtown New Orleans was well received by drivers and teams.
