Lamborghini and Ferrari Secure Fanatec GT World Challenge Poles at Sebring

Sebring, Florida - The world’s fastest GT3 drivers took to Sebring International Raceway Saturday morning to qualify for an action-packed double-header weekend on this historic, beautiful stretch of Sunshine State tarmac. The qualifying format for the Fanatec field has driver 1 setting the grid for race 1 with driver 2 setting the grid for race 2. As we near the end of the 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season, it’s been a roller coaster ride of position changes, flipping scripts, and some of the best sports car racing across all of SRO’s series.

While the K-PAX Racing team is on the verge of clinching the Pro Championship, the Pro-Am battle is ultra close between Wright Motorsports, Racers Edge Motorsports, and CrowdStrike w/ Riley Motorsports.  Triarsi Competizione has already clinched the Am title.

Race 1 Qualifying

The #1 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 (Michele Beretta/Andrea Caldarelli) leads the pack in Pro, and the #96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 (Michael Dinan/Robby Foley) separates them from their teammates, the #3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 (Misha Goikhberg/Jordan Pepper).

The #34 Conquest Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 (Manny Franco/Alessandro Balzan) leads Pro-Am, with the Am #23 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3 (Onofrio Triarsi/Charlie Scardina) alongside them.

Up next is the #45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GTe-R (991.iii) (Charlie Luck/Jan Heylen) and championship-contending #04 CrowdStrike with Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 of George Kurtz and Colin Braun, who are just in front of the #93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 (Ashton Harrison/Mario Farnbacher) and and #08 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 (Scott Smithson/Bryan Sellers).

The #13 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3 (Justin Wetherill/Ryan Dalziel) is up next, with the #63 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 (David Askew/Dirk Muller) next to their door, followed by the #91 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of (Jeff Burton/Corey Lewis) and #43 Acura NSX GT3 (Erin Vogel/Michael Cooper),

Rounding out the GT World Challenge America field are the #10 Ian Lacy Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 (Frank Gannett/Drew Staveley), and the #94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT3 (Chandler Hull/Bill Auberlen).

Race 2 Qualifying

Two Pro-Am class Ferraris sit on the front row: in P1 is the #34 Conquest Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 (Manny Franco/Alessandro Balzan) and alongside them will be the #13 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3 (Justin Wetherill/Ryan Dalziel). The Conquest car laid down a blistering 1:58.929.

Row two will see the Pro class #1 and #3 K-PAX cars, with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Michele Beretta and Andrea Caldarelli in P1 and the #3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Misha Goikhberg of Jordan Pepper alongside.

Up next is the #08 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 (Scott Smithson/Bryan Sellers) and #93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 (Ashton Harrison/Mario Farnbacher), followed by the #45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3-R (991.ii) (Charlie Luck/Jan Heylen) and #91 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Jeff Burton and Corey Lewis.

George Kurtz and Colin Braun in the #04 CrowdStrike with Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 are up next, with the #63 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 (David Askew/Dirk Muller) by their side.

The #43 RealTime Racing Acura NSX GT3 of Erin Vogel and Michael Cooper are up next alongside the Am class #23 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3 (Onofrio Triarsi/Charlie Scardina). Once again, rounding out the field is the #10 Ian Lacy Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 (Frank Gannett/Drew Staveley), and #94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT3 (Chandler Hull/Bill Auberlen).

The #96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 (Michael Dinan/Robby Foley) will not be present in Race 2.

Race 1 will take place at 2:15 PM CST, Race 2 goes down at 1:15 PM on Sunday.
