TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa Selects CrowdStrike to Protect Race from Cybersecurity Threats
- TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa to be protected by industry leading cybersecurity company CrowdStrike
- The CrowdStrike Falcon Platform will provide unprecedented protection against sophisticated cyber attacks to iconic endurance race
- Launch of first European CrowdStrike CXO Summit in partnership with AWS
The TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa announced today that the race will have unprecedented protection from cyber threats in 2022 and beyond, thanks to a new presenting partnership between SRO Motorsports Group and CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-delivered protection of endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data.
This expansion builds upon a five-year relationship with SRO America that has seen CrowdStrike establish a key presence in its series across the United States as the Official Cyber Security Provider and GT Paddock Club partner, including the premier Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, which will open its 2022 season with an event presented by CrowdStrike at Sonoma Raceway.
The CrowdStrike Falcon platform will secure the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa event with unprecedented protection against sophisticated cyber attacks. CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 to redefine enterprise security and tackle the increasingly sophisticated threats faced by businesses across the globe. The company rapidly earned its reputation as the industry leader with its cloud-native Falcon Platform, which provides advanced security to automatically stop data breaches and attacks like ransomware by protecting the most critical areas of risk: endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data. Widely recognized for it’s market-defining innovation and elite team of experts, CrowdStrike has set the standard for modern cybersecurity and counts both the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1™ team and SRO Motorsports America among its partners.
CrowdStrike also will have a major presence at the event, with branding featuring around the 7km Spa-Francorchamps circuit and on every car competing in the race. The new agreement forms part of CrowdStrike’s first global expansion and will see the company export its renowned guest and VIP hospitality programmes into select European venues. This will include partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at the 2022 TotalEnergies Spa 24 Hours to hold the first European CXO Summit for industry leaders from across the continent.
Though new to the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa partner portfolio, the brand has already been part of the event in an on-track capacity. CrowdStrike co-founder and CEO George Kurtz has entered the past two editions of the race alongside pro driver Colin Braun, with the company's name featured prominently on their Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Acknowledged as the global pinnacle in long-distance GT racing, the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa features world-leading automotive brands, teams and drivers competing at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in the Belgian Ardennes. This year’s edition is scheduled for 28-31 July and is preceded by two days of testing on 21-22 June.
Stéphane Ratel, SRO Motorsports Group founder & CEO: “I am delighted that CrowdStrike will greatly enhance its partnership with SRO Motorsports Group this season as an official partner of the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa. We know the company through its work with SRO America, so it was a natural step to expand this relationship to encompass the biggest GT race in the world. From a cybersecurity standpoint we could not hope for a better partner, and it is very reassuring that such an important aspect of our business is protected by CrowdStrike. I look forward to seeing their increased presence at the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa and to watching the relationship develop further in the years to come.”
George Kurtz, CrowdStrike co-founder & CEO: “Similar to endurance racing, defending organizations against sophisticated threat actors takes focus, expertise and precision. We are proud to partner with the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, one of the most respected and demanding long-distance races, and secure the event with the power of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform. We look forward to bringing our mastery to the track and to protecting one of the pivotal global racing events of the season.”
