Watkins Glen, NY - The first Official Practice session of the Watkins Glen International double-header weekend for GT World Challenge America competitors ended with Pro-Am class driver Jan Heylen driving a 1-minute, 44.817-second lap in the #20 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3-R 991.2 to lead the field. Heylen, who set the lap time early in the hour-long practice session, co-drives the car with the Fred Poordad who closed the session.
In the Pro-pairing contingent, the #3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 completed the course in a 1-minute, 45.622-second lap of the circuit; Andrea Caldarelli set the time during his driving stint with co-pilot Jordan Pepper.
In the Am class, champions-elect Jean-Claude Saada and Conrad Grunewald set the pace for the class in the #61 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 with Grunewald's 1:47.797 circuit of the course.
Results are provisional until posted Final. Competitors next take to the track at 4:00 pm EDT for the second and final practice session of the weekend.
