Alton, Va. - Under overcast but dry track conditions, Sandy Mitchell, driving the #9 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3, completed the fastest lap in an abbreviated Practice 1 session at VIRginia International Raceway. His 1-minute, 44.537-second time registered at the top of both the overall field and the Pro-Am competition class under which the car is competing.

The #3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3, driven by Andrea Caldarelli, captured the top Pro spot after teammate Giovanni Venturini had an incident in the #6 car through Turn 14, the cause of the Red Flag that shortened the Practice session. Caldarelli's 1:44.896 lap time was just a fraction behind Mitchell's overall win.

GT World Challenge America competitors next take to the track for the second Practice session at 4:00pm EDT on Friday.
