Michael Dinan Joins Turner Motorsport For 2021 GT World Challenge America Championship

Amesbury, MA - Michael Dinan and Robby Foley will look to continue their winning partnership in a new car and class of competition in 2021 as they pair up to co-drive a Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 in the the 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championship.

The No. 96 BMW M6 GT3 will race with an all-new red and blue livery featuring long-time Turner partners LIQUI-MOLY and H & R Springs. While it will be the first season with Turner and BMW for Dinan, the 22-year-old brings two previous seasons of World Challenge success including co-driving an Aston Martin with Foley to six wins among eight podium finishes to capture the 2020 GT4 America Sprint-X title. Robby Foley, 24, has plied his considerable talents with Turner Motorsport since 2018, and has been a very fast learner. Driving a Turner Motorsport BMW in two classes of IMSA competition he has a total of eight victories among 13 podium finishes for Turner. Driving a BMW M6 GT3 with sports car legend Bill Auberlen, Foley finished second in the 2019 IMSA GT Daytona class driver points.

“I am psyched to welcome Michael to Turner Motorsport,” said Will Turner, Team Principal. “We are always on the lookout for talent and I believe the combination of Michael, Robby, Turner Motorsport, and BMW will be tough to beat. Turner Motorsport has a long history in World Challenge competition, and we look forward to a winning season.”

The 2021 GT Challenge America championship will see 13 rounds of competition over seven event weekends, six of them doubleheaders. The season takes the green flag on the first weekend of March at Sonoma Raceway, in Northern CA, and will work its way around the country, ending at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October.
