Chouest Povoledo Racing to Field Double Entry in GT World Challenge and GT America

After competing in both the Fanatec GT World Challenge America and GT America powered by AWS championships in 2024, Chouest Povoledo Racing will be returning to both series yet again with double entries.

They will be back in the fold once again in 2025, competing in the Pro-Am class in GT World Challenge America, and the SRO3 category in GT America.

Chouest Povoledo Racing have been a part of the SRO America paddocks for many years, and made the switch from GT4 to GT3 machinery last season. As they gradually became more accustomed to the increased horsepower throughout each race weekend event, 2025 will welcome another opportunity for them to showcase their newfound knowledge and experience.

Their 2024 highlights included a string of top 5 finishes in both series, and they will be looking to expand upon this as they challenge for a podium result in the upcoming year.

“We’re really happy to be back,” said Aaron Povoledo. “I feel that we gained a lot of experience last year, and I’m excited to see Ross Chouest continue to grow as a driver. 2024 was an incredible year for us. It was our first season stepping up from GT4 to GT3, and while the numbers only differ by one, what you need as a team to move up is a huge leap. I’m really excited to come back next year because I feel like we’ve built an incredible team.”

When discussing the amount of effort that has been put in by the team, he went on to add that “We’ve grown so much in terms of staff, engineering, and talent. The guys—the technicians, mechanics, engineers, truck drivers—everyone has stepped up. I’m thrilled to offer them all a place again next year and to build on what we learned. The team did an absolutely fantastic job preparing and engineering the cars, and I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running next season with the same incredible crew and even stronger momentum. We've already got most of the equipment and tools in place, but there’s always so much you can’t know until you experience it firsthand. I’m genuinely excited to return with this group of people.”

“Ross learned so much in his first year driving a GT3,” he continued. “The jump from a GT4 to a GT3 car is huge. You’re moving into a world of real aerodynamics, more power, and trusting the downforce. Ross adapted really well, and as his coach and co-driver, I’m excited to see where he progresses from here. I’ve been with Ross for almost 14 years now, and I’ve watched him grow from his earliest days behind the wheel. With every level we’ve reached, he’s been able to compete, win, and become a champion. I fully expect that trajectory to continue, and I’m grateful to be part of that journey with him.”

“For me, driving the GT3s is a thrill,” he exclaimed. “Coming from a background in open wheel cars, being back in machines that offer that kind of cornering speed and grip is just amazing. These modern race cars are truly something special. It’s such a privilege to drive one of these fantastic machines.”
