CrowdStrike Takes SRO Partnership, Racing North to Canada

• CrowdStrike is the Official Internet and Cloud Security Provider for SRO America
• Kurtz, Braun to drive CrowdStrike Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
• Plus: Canadian Grand Prix™ in June to mark North American debut of CrowdStrike/Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Partnership

SUNNYVALE, Calif
– CrowdStrike, the Official Internet and Cloud Security Provider of SRO America, continues the opening stage of the Blancpain GT World Challenge America schedule with an international race this weekend.

The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will see CrowdStrike host local staff and customers while it competes on the track with the No. 04 CrowdStrike/AWS/Accel/DXDT Mercedes-AMG GT3 in 90-minute races Saturday and Sunday. CrowdStrike’s contingent will be among the thousands of spectators who will flock to the historic 2.5-mile, 10-turn road course just outside Toronto on Canada’s Victoria Day weekend.

The opportunity to entertain guests and at the same time compete at premier circuits like CTMP is a major reason why CrowdStrike, led by co-founder and CEO George Kurtz, has expanded its partnership with SRO America in recent years.

“Everyone at CrowdStrike is looking forward to experiencing the SRO America weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park,” said Kurtz, a previous race-winner at the circuit. “It’s a great opportunity to see our involvement in the series as an Official Partner and as a competitor with DXDT Racing and the Mercedes-AMG GT3. Of course we couldn’t do any of this without our team sponsors AWS, Accel, CeramicPro, SimCraft, SINET and Sparco. Thanks to them for all they do.”

Kurtz and teammate Colin Braun will look to maintain their momentum from their Pro-Am category second-place finish last month at Virginia International Raceway. The pairing continues to grow more comfortable with the CrowdStrike/AWS Mercedes-AMG, which is prepared and run by DXDT Racing.

“I’m looking forward to racing at CTMP!” said Braun. “There are a lot of elevation changes and the track has a good rhythm to it, it’s very unique. The CrowdStrike team had a great second race at VIR and we’re certainly looking to build on that at CTMP. George and I have started to find our groove in the Mercedes and I think it’s going to be a good weekend for us!”

The pairing of Kurtz and Braun will be tested at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, which is one of the most respected tracks on the SRO schedule. Its history dates back 60 years and was the site of the Formula One™ Canadian Grand Prix from 1967-77, and the track also has played host to top-level sports car, superbike and stock car events over the years.

The CTMP weekend is the first of two Canadian racing events this year for CrowdStrike. It is gearing up for next month’s FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2019 as part of a global partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport. It will be the first North American race in CrowdStrike’s first year as the official cybersecurity partner for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport.

The Blancpain GT World Challenge America will compete at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park from May 17-19. Race One is set for 2:10 p.m. ET on Saturday with Race Two at 10:10 a.m. ET on Sunday and airing live on CBS Sports Network. For more information, visit CrowdStrikeRacing.com.
