Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana Receives Donation from SRO Motorsports America and Amazon Web Services to Empower Youth in Central Indiana

Indianapolis, IN – SRO Motorsports America and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced a combined total donation of $50,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBBSCI) with each donating $25,000. The gift supports the organization in furthering its mission to ensure young people have access to powerful mentoring experiences that empower them with a plan for their future and a mentor whose impact lasts a lifetime.

“These two donations will triple the impact of dollars raised during our largest annual fundraiser, The Main Event, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The funding will be designated toward our Big Futures & Little Impacts programming for Bigs and Littles. What is most exciting is that AWS and SRO will continue to partner with our agency in a strategic way – centered on our shared commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to ignite the power and promise of young people.” Caitlin Bain, Chief Development Officer of BBBSCI.

Each year, BBBSCI provides more than 100 enriching programming activities for Bigs and Littles. These opportunities are designed to empower Littles to learn, grow, and ignite their limitless potential. Little Impacts is geared toward middle-school Littles, incorporating the building blocks that lead to Big Futures, our college and career readiness programming. The two programs are positioned for continued growth and expansion in future years, in line with BBBSCI’s 3-year strategic plan, and will incorporate more opportunities for support through partnerships with companies in Central Indiana and beyond.

“We are very grateful for this generous investment in our community’s young people through Big Brothers Big Sisters,” expressed Darcey Palmer-Shultz, CEO of BBBSCI. “And, every chance we get, we want to invite our community to consider serving as volunteer mentors to make sure more kids benefit from the encouragement and opportunities they deserve.”

"In life and racing success always comes from someone mentoring and nurturing you. Big Brothers and Big Sisters embody this truth. Our teams love meeting with young and enthusiastic kids.  If we can inspire a future career with what they see at the track, that's a great thing. Big Brothers Big Sisters is such a valuable community resource, we're honored to support their important work." Greg Gill, President and CEO, SRO Motorsports America.
