Caldarelli, Heylen Capture Overall Poles for Sebring International Weekend

Sebring, Fla. - Under sunny skies and warm temperatures, the grids for the Sebring International Raceway GT World Challenge America field have been set. For Race 1, the prime position belongs to Andrea Caldarelli in the #3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 while Sunday's contest will see ? leading the field.

In the first qualifying session, Caldarelli set the fastest lap with a 2-minute, 9.77-second lap of the circuit, enough to put the K-PAX driver on the pole.  Locking out the front row, the sister #6 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini earned P2 with driver Giovanni Venturini posting a 2-minute, 1.848-second lap time. Giacomo Altoe's (#9 TR3 Racing Lamborghini) 2:02.086 circuit and Russell Ward's (#33 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG) 2:02.144 lap placed them at P3 and P4 respectively, making an all-Pro first and second rows in the overall grid.

Pro-Am competitors will see Fred Poordad (#20 Wright Motorsports Porsche) leading the class from P1, with Rodrigo Sales (#77 Compass Racing Acura) in the class P2 position, followed by #88 Zelus Motorsports' Jason Harward and #93 Racers Edge driver Taylor Hagler in P3 and P4.

The top Am spot was captured by #23 Triarsi Competizione driver Charlie Scardina, with Jean-Claude Saada (#61 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3) taking the class P2.

For Sunday's contest, the second qualifying session saw Pro-Am driver Heylen's 2-minute, 0.371-second lap placing him at the front of the entire field, with Mikael Grenier (#33 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3) slotting into overall P2 and capturing the Pro class top spot in the process. K-PAX Racing driver Jordan Pepper (#3 Lamborghini) will take the overall third position for second-in-class positioning, while #93 Racers Edge co-driver Dakota Dickerson will occupy the fourth position on the grid, slotting into P2 for the Pro-Am class.

Conrad Grunewald (#61 AF Corse Ferrari) will lead the Ams from overall eleventh position, while Onofrio Triarsi (#23 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari) will start the race next to him in an all-Ferrari class battle.
