Turner Motorsport Travels to Texas for Round Two of 2021 GT World Challenge America Championship

The Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, Texas, will host the third and fourth rounds of the 2021 GT World Challenge America Championship this weekend with the Turner Motorsport Liqui-Moly/H & R Springs BMW M6 GT3 looking to best the 16-car field at the 3.4-mile, 20-turn track.

Drivers Michael Dinan and Robby Foley, the 2020 GT4 America Sprint-X champions, will be looking to improve on their results from the opening rounds at Sonoma Raceway in early March. Dinan and Foley finished ninth overall and third in the Pro class in the first race, eighth overall and fourth in the Pro class in the second race. The BMW duo stands third in the Pro class points standings.

“COTA always sets quite a stage and we’ve had success there over the years,” said Will Turner, Team Principal. “We have already tested there twice this season. Unfortunately, fans are restricted from attending this weekend due to the continuing pandemic, but we will do our best to keep them entertained on our social media channels. We increased our twitter channel - @turnermotrsport - to over 14,000 followers during the Sebring weekend and will be happy to welcome more. And the spelling is no typo – no second ‘o’.”

Continuing, he rambled, “So, the season has changed, and Spring has sprung. Of course, we recommend H & R. And for those BMW fluid changes, don’t slip up - it’s Liqui-Moly for us.”

Robby Foley comments: "Ready to get going this weekend at COTA. Historically Michael and I have had a lot of success there, so hopefully we can bring the Liqui moly M6 back to the podium where Turner has won before. We had a great test a few weeks ago and continued to learn more about what our car wants on the Pirelli tire. Hard to say where we'll stack up, but we're prepared as a team to take the fight to the others."

Qualifying and both rounds will be streamed live for free on the GT World YouTube channel, in addition to audio simulcasts on Sirius XM Radio Channel 382 (992 on the web/app). CBS Sports Network’s highlights and live racing package premieres Sunday, May 2nd at 2:00 pm ET, with an encore presentation at 10:00pm ET that evening. The weekend schedule, live timing and scoring, as well as session reports and one-stop video viewing, are available at gt-world-challenge-america.com.
